Cloud Platform is new Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering for Application Programming. For many years, The App Programming has been the foundation for on-premise solutions. With new options in the Cloud Platform, developers can make use of their existing know-how to develop and run applications in the Cloud. In this module, we will learn the core concepts of EML, Managed and Unmanaged implementations of RESTful Programming Language which is now available with 1909 as well.

Description:

Cloud Platform is a strategic Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering for customers and partners to build, integrate, and extend business solutions and services. Today, Cloud Platform applications and extensions can be built with different development environments like Java or Node.js.

Cloud Platform enables the developer community to step into the Cloud. Customers and partners can build extensions for new app-based products like S4 Cloud as well as develop new cloud applications. Cloud Platform is also an option to transform existing existing-based custom code or extensions to the Cloud. Finally, the Cloud Platform provides access to Cloud Platform services like integration, document management, machine learning, and IoT.

The software stack contains standard technology components familiar from the standalone application server. It supports the new RESTful programming model including UX and Core Data Services (CDS). Services and APIs are offered according to a new whitelisting approach.

Objective:

After the completion of this course, Trainee will:

Setup the development environment in Cloud Platform CF.
Create DDIC objects in the cloud.
Build new dimension cloud-native applications using the RESTful application programming model in SCP.
Create Side-by-Side applications to the cloud.
